The 83rd Texas Legislature is in session and that means many special interest groups will be in Austin for Lobby Days. I hope you will consider attending one or more of these events. The ones listed are only a few of the events scheduled.

ACLU of Texas – Sun – Mon. Feb. 10-11, 2013 Symposium and Lobby Day
League of Women Voters – Mon- Tues. Feb 25-26, 2013
Events include a dinner in Austin honoring Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas & Cecilia Boone for all they have done for Women’s Health in Texas
Collin County Days in Austin – Mon-Tues, March 4-5, 2013 - organized by the McKinney Chamber of Commerce
Planned Parenthood – Thurs. March 7. Buses leaving from Dallas and Ft. Worth. Registration form to be posted online soon.
Equality Texas Legislative Days – Mon. March 11, 2013
Texas Freedom Network – Wed. April 3 – will host a rally on the capitol steps specifically for protecting access to birth control. They will likely have follow-on lobby activities the rest of the day.
There are numerous lobby days scheduled for different teacher groups (TEA, AFT, etc.). We encourage you to check them out since education is such an important issue in Texas.
