National Day of Service – Sat. Jan. 19.– an opportunity from some of our SD8 Precinct Chairs.
Every year, the President and First Lady have asked people to join them in the National Day of Service by serving their communities in honor of Dr. King. Participate in the National Day of Service contributing to a Food and Blanket Drive on January 19th. Join Democrats in Senate District 8 to benefit the North Texas Food Bank and a local homeless shelter.
Please consider donating at least three (3) non-perishable food items. If you are a Precinct Chair, they ask that you contact Democratic voters from your precinct and invite them to participate by making a donation. Volunteers needed to help by serving as drop-off locations. On Saturday, January 19th, pick-up of all donations will be from the drop-off locations. Contact Terrill or Becky for more specifics.
