If you vote a straight Democratic ticket this election, you’ll be helping all Democratic candidates. Perhaps you haven’t paid a lot of attention to the down-ballot races like those for the courts of appeals. If you decide to skip those races because you know nothing about the candidates, you’re leaving some Democrats out in the cold. Rely upon the Democratic Party Platform and the ideals of our party. It’s the dog-catcher who rises to city council to mayor to judge to state representative to state senator to US senator to governor to president. But if our Democratic candidates never get elected dog-catcher, they’ll never advance to state-wide and national offices.
After selecting the straight ticket, you’ll be able to review each race and each of your selections.
Also, remember that we’re using voting centers, so your election day voting place is probably not the place you’ve been voting for years. Check for your closest polling place before leaving home. The polls will be open 7am to 7pm.
